HAI Heli-Expo 2024, Anaheim US

Visit us at booth #4606 from February 26th to 29th at Anaheim Convention Center in California

We are excited to present our unique Virtual Reality Training Device in the new Airbus H125 Glass Cockpit layout, featuring Garmin G500H TXi and the GTN650 avionics, for the first time in the US. Experience our cutting-edge technology and see for yourself how we are leading the way in flight simulation.

Tuesday, 27th February at 12am

- Vortex ring state and Vuichard recovery technique
- How to avoid slope landing accidents
- Upslope autorotations

Wednesday, 28th February at 1pm

- How negative transfer can be avoided by efficient simulator training
- Quick Stop
- Vuichard technique

Thursday, 29th February at 11am

- IIMC (avoidance and recovery)
- Autorotation by night
- Dynamic approach

Airbus H125 Glass Cockpit

The Loft Dynamics team is developing the Airbus H125 glass cockpit based on the Garmin G500H TXi and the GTN650Xi avionics. The touch screens are fully functional and the devices represent the original functionality. In addition, it contains a virtual tablet to read checklists and use navigation charts. This enables to train towards the instrument rating including performance based navigation.

Airbus H145

Airbus Helicopters and Loft Dynamics are co-developing an Airbus H145 VR training device. The helicopter is a twin-engine multi-purpose rotorcraft tailored for emergency medical services and law enforcement duties, along with aerial work and passenger transport, including private and business aviation as well as offshore operations. It is the latest member of the company’s four-tonne-class twin-engine rotorcraft product range – with designed-in mission capability and flexibility, especially in high and hot operating conditions. The combination of the companies’ expertise will bring a compact, affordable high quality simulator to the market. With the advantages of a virtual reality 360 degree 3D visual system combined with a motion system, H145 operators can profit from the exact replication of their individual H145 D2/ D3 cockpit layout. The OEM simulation package of Airbus Helicopters ensures to have an authentic flight behaviour and correct replication of the system functionality.

Robinson R22: Learn on the simulator. Apply in the helicopter

Loft Dynamics training devices accurately represent the flight behaviour of the right aircraft. As well the manipulations in the cockpit are intuitively like real. This opens the door for new training concepts: Basic manoeuvres like hovering, attitude flying, entire traffic pattern and autorotations can be trained on the simulator. Thereafter pilots are able to apply the learned without adaptation in the real helicopter. This saves costs, improves training efficiency and enhances flight safety, completely environmentally friendly.

Loft Dynamics Opens First Virtual Reality Flight Simulation Hub in North America

On February 1st, 2023, Loft Dynamics opened the first Virtual Reality Flight Simulation Hub and our first North American headquarters, located at the Santa Monica Municipal Airport (SMO). The hub features the Airbus H125 VR Flight Simulation Training Device (FSTD), offering a hands-on way for even more pilots and aviation leaders to experience the future of pilot training and the benefits of VR technology at a critical time for the aviation industry.
